As I have to drive home tomorrow, I had a lazy day. Just took the bike for a very short safari :). And one really needs strong legs to go these roads up and down - to hard for me and my old bike!

Left Tarragona today. As it wasn't hot it was a good idea to make a roadtrip. Drove all the way up to Begur mostly on the road near the seaside. Best part was between Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu! Had a lot of fun 'running up that hill'
Got a new neighbour: Cat!
She must be a girl: so cute ... and...
The first things I saw here was the harbour - because I like harbours. And I thought 'what an ugly town' as I strolled from the harbour to the main street. Then I found the old town, found creative street art, found happy Spanish people and some kind of party was going on, beer just 1€. What should I say? Love it!
P.s. And of course: there's a bar named Frankfurt here
After having seen the tapas bike yesterday I left Barcelona. Made an adverture trip into a supermarket (they really had tomato marmelade there) and found a great road up to Monserrat. Hope this is like the "make everything okay button" in the internet (I didn't touch the Madonna but I think that's okay for her too). Finally I found a new stay at the same sea: Tarragona
What the beer bike and the Äppler bike is for Frankfurt of course has it's brother here in Barcelona: the tapas bike!

Just some pics I took yesterday. Cerveceria Frankfurt, Frankfurters, Lucky cats... It's like ... Frankfurt...
After brekfast I took a swim as always. Second breakfast followed. Then I took the bus to the city, got me a banana- strawberry smoothie and some fish. On the way to the underground I fell in love with a girl passing by. Visited Sagrada Familia, had to wait for an hour to get onto one of the towers, wasn't allowed to smoke and fell in love with another girl sitting on a bench. The lift took me up the tower down I had to walk. After taking some pictures of this church-constructionsite I took the metro to the habour where I fell in love with girl number three today. My coffee I took in a café called 'osterhase' which I only recognised on the 'cuentro' when I paid. At the busstop I fell in love with my travelling here.

When I visited the market of Barcelona I got hungry ... Until I've seen little plastic packages with sheep brain in it. But let me come to the other site of this:
Reading on the toilet seems not to be custom here in Catalonia: this puplic toilet has a time limit of 15 minutes ... I know people who would be surprised when the door opens
The neighbours from Berlin left me their last food today. I found it when I came home from the city. Trying to meet some couchsurfers failed because of the demonstrations with nearly one million people filling the streets...
Made it to Barcelona today! Found a campsite right at the beach and will start to explore the city tomorrow. Today Sabine wanted to go right through the centre which I didn't like that much
Did my job and took a picture of some flamingos, was on the bike all day long, found the sea, saw some kind of salt-mines (don't know exactly what's it called) and didn't get salad for dinner, because it's sunday - which I only realized because of closed supermarkets.
They had a stupid bull race here at Le Grau-Du-Roi: seems as if they do it every now and then, because they had fixed gates to close some streets.

I'm in France. Made it right to the Mediterranean sea on one day. Aigues Mortes is the name of this nice town here. Heard Weezer on my way until I came to their cover of "unbreak my heart" which almost made me cry :-P so that I switched to Italian music on my way to Spain through France.
We took the last chance for us yesterday to go and visit the documanta exhibition in Kassel. Was kind of an adventure as we were a bit tired ... :) but also had one of my beloved Börek at café hurricane!
