So Spotify has tracked down what the world and I was listening to this year. And I've to say that I'm surprised that "Inside the Flood" is on place 5... Villagers and Bright Eyes - yep - these were important bands but where's Jacob Bellens and Wampire and Turbostaat ....? I'll make my top ten in the next weeks

17.247 streams would mean that spotify had payed something between 120 and 137 € to the artists (see also t3ns ) Now, is that less than they would have earned if I had bought some CDs? Lot's of artists might get some cents because of spotify which they wouldn't have earned elsewhere.

Concert:The Thermals at Zoom

there was another concert last week I didn't mention til now. I've won two tickets although I would have gone there anyways.

Odenwald

Hike and Minigolf Sunday Adventure with some friends up in the hills of the Odenwald

And again 1000 m up...

But as my legs hurt and there was a funivia around I didn't walk down. If it wasn't for the views that are much better on hills and mountains than at the foot of a montain I definitively would swear (!!) I would never ever climb up on one again... At least for this year... or... let's say for this week... or .... okay: I swear by my very green van and my mum's noodle salad that I will not climb on any mountain this evening! Really!

Up and down and up and down and up again and down ...

Today it was time to drive up some "passo". The van had a hard day after the two hard days my legs had before. First one was Passo Pordoi (2239m), then Passo di Campolongo (1875m), Grödner Joch (2121m) and finally Sellajoch (2244m) to get to Canazei. Such nice views up there!

1000 meters up and down again

Took the route up to Malga Grassi and had a coffee at Torbole. Mixed bunch of people here: surfers, bikers, very old ladies with very small dogs or very old ladies with even older men.

6 hour hike

So my decision for today was hiking! Good idea and at least at one point I was lucky enough not to be able to look all the way down because of the fog up there. But it was warm enough to roll up your jeans and walk around with a tshirt.... Don't have any GPS data :(

Searching for 24 degrees celsius

Started a trip south today to find the sun. But unfortunately I didn't make it to Italy so I'm near Karwendel right now for the night.

Sea + Air were supported by Leif and the Future yesterday at Hafen2 in Offenbach. Nice concert at which we were happy to participate with our keys and clap our hands.

Odenwald-fries

Last night we had the idea to drive down deep into the odenwald to take our hiking boots out into the woods and meadows: so today we ate what mother nature had on her table for us while we had a good time out there... Really! Fries and sausages were found on our way back home!

I really really really really didn't get why I missed this album in 2011- it's on my playlist for weeks now. Jejune Stars is the one I like most I think.

This is their 2010 album because the new one (Time Is A Machine) couldn't be found on spotify yet. Listener are three: Frontman Dan Smith, Christian Nelson (Guitar) and Kris Rochelle (Drums) and their Post-Rock/Folk whatever is different. They call it "Talk Music" and that describes Smith's lyrics fairly well. I've been to a concert and enjoyed it because they were 'real', had things to say and emotions to share.

Up! And away...

Bike tour up to the Feldberg: 30 kilometers to go up to 878 Meters and then with hot brakes down again. It's worth the trouble because of my addiction to coffee and cigarettes which I always enjoyed up there.
Also: remember to take a light jacket with you. It's f**king cold up there.

Started my weekend with a concert tonight as I thought there were less concerts than I would have wished for this summer.: Listener was in town to listen to and it was worth it.

Gelnhausen and back

There where storks on the way to Gelnhausen this morning. I wanted to take the 'Grüngürtel'-route, missed a sign and redefined my plan to: follow the R3 bike route to Gelnhausen and maybe find the middle of Europe. The thing with the middle of Europe is, that the European Union changed since 2007 and with getting Croatia to join the union, the middle of Europe is now in Westerngrund. So when the rain started, I decided to ride back home... I think I've never been riding my bike so far and for so long: 100 km, a total of 5:55 hours

To the other side

Corssing the river Rhine is a good idea as such but it took me 5 hours all in all for the 80 km a cigarette at the riverside and some cake at a bakery. But as I started early at 8 (on a sunday!) I was back home just in time to enjoy the sun on my balcony
